Risk Disclosure
The main risks of trading CFDs with Swiss Prime Markets. Read it before you deposit.
Version 1 · Last updated: October 7, 2026
CFDs are complex instruments and come with a high risk of losing money rapidly due to leverage. Only trade with money you can afford to lose. This notice describes the main risks; it does not list every risk. Read it before you deposit.
1. Leverage magnifies losses
With leverage of 1:500, a price move of 0.2% against you equals 100% of the margin of that position. Small moves can wipe out your deposit within minutes.
2. You can lose all the money in your account
Losses on one position reduce the margin available for all others. When your margin level reaches 50%, positions are closed automatically at the current price, which can be far from where you wanted to exit. With our negative balance protection (Client Agreement, section 3.6) you cannot lose more than the money in your account, but you can lose all of it.
3. Stop losses are not guaranteed
In fast markets, around news or when a market opens after the weekend, prices can jump (gap). A stop loss is then filled at the next available price, which can be worse than the level you set.
4. Prices and market hours
Our prices come from third-party data providers plus our spread, and can differ from other venues. Some instruments show delayed prices and cannot be traded on live accounts. When a market is closed or the price feed is interrupted, you cannot open or close positions on it.
5. Crypto deposits and withdrawals
You fund your account only in crypto (USDT, USDC or BTC).
- A transfer to a wrong address or network is lost and cannot be reversed.
- Stablecoins can lose their peg to the US dollar.
- BTC changes value while a transfer is pending; it is converted at the price of the block (deposits) or the moment we send it (withdrawals).
- Network fees and congestion can delay transfers or make small withdrawals uneconomic.
6. Where your money is held
Your balance is held in accounts controlled by us, including at third-party crypto exchanges. It is not held in segregated client accounts, and it is not protected by any deposit guarantee or investor compensation scheme. If we, an exchange or a provider fail, you could lose your balance.
7. We are not a regulated broker
Swiss Prime Markets is a brand of Balkan Bug LLC. We are not licensed, authorised or regulated by any financial regulator, in Switzerland or anywhere else. The word “Swiss” in our brand name does not mean that we are based in Switzerland or supervised by a Swiss authority. You do not have the protections of a regulated broker, such as a financial ombudsman or an investor compensation scheme.
8. Withdrawals need verification
You must verify your identity and use two-factor authentication before you withdraw. If you cannot be verified, the funds are returned only under the rules of the Client Agreement, which can take time.
9. Technology risk
The platform, your device or your internet connection can fail, and orders can then not be placed, changed or closed. Keep your password and authenticator device secure: whoever logs in with your password can trade on your account.
10. Analysis tools are not advice
Indicators, automatic Elliott Wave counts, scanners, order flow and other tools in SPM Trader show calculations on past prices. They do not predict the future and are not investment advice or trading signals. Past performance is not a guide to future results.
11. Demo is not live
Demo accounts use virtual money and can fill orders differently from live accounts. Results on demo do not show what you would earn or lose with real money.
12. Tax
You are responsible for any taxes on your trading results in your country.
By opening a live account you confirm that you have read and understood this Risk Disclosure.
